Spoleto Festival USA 2011 (Volunteers)
is currently recruiting volunteers for its 2011 season. Each year, the Festival relies on the energy and experience of its volunteers to help make the world-class arts festival a success. Join us and help make a difference in our community!
The positions are primarily seasonal in nature and run from January through the completion of the Festival in June. The specific needs of the organization include the following:
- assisting at the front desk of the administrative offices
- assisting with various projects in the development department
- serving on special events committees and assisting with special events
Morning and afternoon hours are available to volunteers Monday through Friday between January and May 2011. During the Festival, evening hours and Saturdays and Sundays are available

At the Volunteer Summer Summit 2011, volunteers from all over Europe and the rest of the world, will have the possibility to develop further European links on personal and organizational levels. It will bring together over 250 people of different cultural, generational, and social backgrounds. This diversity will be an incredible opportunity to see and meet the world and also to bring it back home in the knowledge, experience, new friends and memories acquired.In the spirit of the European Year of Volunteering, EFIL has chosen the theme "Promoting Multiculturalism through Volunteer Work"for the Volunteer Summer Summit 2011. It gives the framework to promote multiculturalism and informal learning in the AFS/EFIL network, and participants achieve a feeling of belonging to an inclusive volunteer community. Objectives are also to provide training opportunities on both high and basic level, intercultural experiences, networking and sharing.

Lanarkshire International 2011 (Volunteers)Our team of friendly and helpful volunteers will be a very important part of the success of Lanarkshire's International Children's Games in 2011, to help ensure Lanarkshire's Games are the best ever.
We are looking for volunteers for a number of diverse positions which will include supporting key roles behind the scenes and providing information and assistance to our visitors. There will also be a requirement for specialist volunteers with particular skills and experience in sport and physical activity as well as languages.
Please note all volunteers will be required to attend specific training events and, depending on their role, may be required to complete a Disclosure Scotland application.
